UN Food Systems Summit
As part of the CGIAR, the Alliance is engaged in UN Food System Summit (UNFSS) activities throughout 2021. This page collects updates about events, relevant news, and other resources related to our participation.
What is the UNFSS?
Guided by five Action Tracks, the UN Summit brings together key players from the worlds of science, business, policy, healthcare and academia to bring about tangible, positive changes to the world’s food systems. Visit the official site for details.
UNFSS Pre-Summit
Occurring 26-28 July in Rome, Italy (in a primarily virtual format), the Pre-Summit will gather youth, farmers, indigenous peoples, civil society, researchers, the private sector, and policy leaders to deliver the latest evidence-based and scientific approaches from around the world, launch a set of new commitments through coalitions of action and mobilize new financing and partnerships.

As part of the Pre-Summit, the Alliance is hosting a parallel session, "Agrobiodiversity for a Sustainable Future" on July 26, 19.30-20:20 CEST.
