Moringa leaves: strategies, standards and markets for a better impact on nutrition in Africa: International workshop, Accra, Ghana, 16-18 November 2006

The workshop focussed on key issues for the development of the use of Moringa leaves: Leaf production systems as a cash crop;Use of Moringa for medically controlled nutritional recovery;Use of Moringa and other leafy vegetables to prevent malnutrition;Market development of dietary supplements based on leafy vegetables in Africa;Efficient communication about Moringa potential and ways to promote it. The Workshop was supported financially by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA, Netherlands), the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE, Belgium), and the Global Facilitation Unit for Underutilized Species (Italy).
