Our Office in Honduras Has a New Home

For nearly thirty years, CIAT - now the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT - has supported Honduras in the transformation of its food systems, through:

• Strengthening the capacities of farmers, national and local governments, and other stakeholders to face the challenges of climate change,
• Encouraging integrated and efficient natural resource management.
• Developing inclusive and gender-oriented business models that promote sustainable value chains, and,
• Encouraging agricultural productivity through crop improvement.

After many years working from the Honduran government's Directorate of Agricultural Science and Technology (DICTA), the Alliance's regional team is pleased to announce the establishment of their new home. This change strengthens the Alliance's opportunity to reinforce our commitment to research, with the objective of improving the quality of life of Honduran residents, preserving water resources, and strengthening the resilience of agriculture to climate change in the country.
