Peter Laderach

Peter Läderach is a principal scientist based in Bern, Switzerland, with over 20 years of research experience in food systems transformation to support developing countries in alleviating poverty, adapting to and mitigating climate change, and strengthening resilience and peace. He currently works closely with humanitarian actors to develop impact pathways that leverage CGIAR’s and the Alliance’s food systems expertise in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
Peter holds an MSc in Geography and a PhD in Tropical Agriculture (summa cum laude). He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and books.
