Paul Njoroge

Paul Njoroge is an all-round banking and finance professional leading business development for the CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (ImpactSF), where he also supports the strategy and product positioning of the ImpactSF product suite. Seconded as a GIZ-CIM Integrated Expert, Paul brings a unique blend of expertise in business development, partnerships, and sustainable finance. With nearly a decade of experience across banking, agriculture, FinTech, ESG advisory, and development finance, Paul has a strong track record in fostering public-private collaboration to scale impact-driven solutions. 

Paul was the former Africa Director at Financial Access, which focused on scaling de-risking bundled financing products and farmer credit scoring approaches for microfinance institutions. His professional focus is on advancing meaningful investments in food systems, agricultural value chains, and forestry commodities, with an emphasis on financial inclusion, risk management, and scalable impact. Paul holds an MSc in Financial Economics and a BSc in International Economics and Business Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
