Nancy Victor

Nancy is part of the digital inclusion research team, where she is working with the Artemis team to build computer vision and AI-powered tools that enable crop breeders to breed for locally-adapted and climate-resilient crop varieties. Her goal is to always build technologies that not only streamline workflows but also genuinely respond to the needs and contexts of end-users.

Prior to her role at the Alliance, Nancy worked with the World Bank in Tanzania, where she helped create emergency management systems and supported the development of spatial data infrastructure. She also contributed to improving access to youth health services through her work at YLabs.

Nancy has a background in Computer Science and holds a MSc in Digital Transformation. When she's not immersed in the world of digital transformation, she can be found walking, taking photos of tree tops and flowers or chasing butterflies, trying to identify their colors while wondering why she hasn’t taken up farming yet.
