Moritz Dolinga

Moritz Dolinga works as AgriTech Market Research Analyst Consultant at the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP). As an anthropologist with over 5 years of experience researching innovation processes in the agricultural and food sectors, Moritz supports A4IP’s mission through in-depth market research, policy recommendations, and research outputs. His work involves collecting and analyzing data, synthesizing insights, and developing publications tailored to diverse audiences, including industry players, policymakers, business leaders, and the scientific community.

Moritz has an academic background in the social sciences, specializing in agriculture and food technology innovation. Before joining the Alliance Bioversity International and CIAT, he worked as a research associate in the projects “Reimaginations of Land and Agriculture in The Context of Digitisation” (Universities of Leipzig and Münster), and “Negotiating, converting and interconnecting life in digital agriculture” (University of Basel). He holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Basel and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on the founding, funding, and scaling processes of agrifoodtech startups. His research examines the role of industry partners, venture capital firms, and innovation intermediaries in the development of new agricultural and food technologies. Driven to contribute to more sustainable, ethical, and just food systems, Moritz aims to leverage his interdisciplinary knowledge, research skills, and analytical expertise to support the creation, funding, and scaling of impactful agrifoodtech innovations.
