Madyan Vanessa Prado-Murcia

Madyan Vanessa Prado-Murcia is an agricultural engineer with four years of experience in the management of the agronomic cycle of the maize crop, the development and implementation of sowing, harvesting, and management protocols. She has experience with maize-forage intercropping, evaluating crop productivity, nitrification rates, interaction with soil microorganisms, GHG emissions, efficient use of fertilisers, and zinc content in maize grain. Knowledge in agricultural extension services and dissemination strategies to promote planting, consumption, and value chains for the adoption of biofortified and staple crops. She also has expertise in forage nutritional quality assessments and food chemistry through near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
