Helena Fogt

Helena Fogt is Knowledge Management and Project Support Officer for the Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, based in Rome. In this role, she supports the internal organization, coherence, and strategic use of A4IP-generated data, helping transform collected information into accessible insights and knowledge products. She also contributes to project support, research, external communications, and technical coordination across the platform’s activities.

Before joining the Alliance, Helena obtained a BSc in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam. Her academic background engages with key issues in political economy, including agricultural policy, EU integration, energy security, and international development. Her work reflects a broader interest in how research, innovation, and partnerships can support more sustainable and inclusive agrifood systems. Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Helena has lived abroad for most of her life, shaping her appreciation for cultural diversity, international cooperation, and cross-border collaboration. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, discovering new food cultures, and reading.
