Andres David Espada

Andres is an applied economist and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator with experience supporting research-driven initiatives and translating evidence into practical action. His work blends research, project management, and learning, with a strong focus on strengthening the link between analytical work and decision-making. He is especially interested in using research to inform program design, improve implementation, and generate insights for more effective interventions.

He collaborates closely with research and implementation teams to design and strengthen MEL frameworks, support outcome tracking, and ensure that results are captured and communicated clearly. His research interests center on agricultural value chains, productivity, and technology adoption at both firm and farm producer levels. He employs diverse quantitative methods, such as causal inference, experimental, and quasi-experimental designs, to examine the incentives, behaviors, practices, and institutions that shape these areas.
