Vietnam integrates Alliance climate mobility indicators into its National Nutrition Surveillance System to enhance food security policy

Between 2022 and 2024, Alliance research reshaped Vietnam’s National Nutrition Surveillance System by integrating climate-related human mobility indicators, addressing a major policy gap amid climate-driven migration in the Mekong Delta. Working with the Ministry of Health’s National Institute of Nutrition, the initiative combined evidence reviews, co-design, and pilot data collection to generate policy-relevant insights linking mobility, climate hazards, and food and nutrition security.
