Towards common definitions and concepts for capacity development

This document proposes definitions and concepts for capacity development (CD) for use within CGIAR and in its collaboration with partners. It is a living document that will remain open for discussion throughout 2026. Once finalized, it will be published by the Capacity Sharing Accelerator (CapSha) as a White Paper to offer a common and widely agreed language for CD at the individual, organizational and system level.
