In 2025, the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT and Rikolto International Vietnam supported rice cooperatives in Đồng Tháp Province, Mekong River Delta, to adopt Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) standards. Through EU-IFAD–funded Agroecological TRANSITIONS program work and private-sector engagement, 3,097 farmers improved sustainable production, traceability, and market access. The initiative combined technical training, certification support, and market linkage development to enable a shift toward agroecological, low-input rice systems with stronger commercial positioning and greater export potential.
