Seguimiento a las asociaciones y parcelas demostrativas: “Construcción de paz medioambiental para mejorar la nutrición y reducir las emisiones en Cauca y Putumayo”
Through field visits, participatory workshops, and continuous virtual support, the project monitored the establishment and management of biofortified bean plots, the preparation and application of bio-inputs, and the strengthening of local agronomic capacities. The activities involved five producer associations across Cauca and Putumayo and combined sustainable soil management practices, organic fertilization, post-harvest handling, and participatory evaluation of improved bean lines. The experience highlights the relevance of demonstration plots as learning spaces, the importance of farmer-led experimentation, and the role of low-emission agricultural practices in improving productivity, food and nutrition security, and territorial resilience in conflict-affected rural areas.
