Promoting climate-resilient agriculture and food security through school feeding
School feeding programs, particularly home-grown school feeding models that source food from local smallholders, have growing potential to improve nutrition while supporting sustainable and climate-resilient food systems. This Personal View proposes a conceptual framework that outlines the policy and operational pathways through which school feeding can strengthen local agriculture and resilience to climate change. The framework aims to guide interdisciplinary, policy-relevant research to inform the design and scaling of national programs.
