Pest and disease management in agriculture under climate change course module
The aim of the module is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage the challenges posed by abiotic and biotic stressors in agriculture, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Learners will understand how climate change exacerbates pest and disease threats. The module aims to provide practical strategies, including climate-smart agriculture (CSA) and integrated pest management (IPM), to enhance resilience in agricultural systems. Ultimately, the module seeks to empower learners to develop and implement sustainable solutions that protect agricultural productivity, support food security, and strengthen community resilience in the face of climate change and environmental stressors.
