Methodology:1. Since 2024, the diet quality monitoring system in Guatemala has generated data from more than 400 participants across the central, eastern, and western regions of the country, through the use of the MEMO chatbot and the administration of the DQQ survey via WhatsApp.
2. Methodology: Data collection was conducted in coordination with local partners, who facilitated initial contact with monitoring participants. The survey was administered through the MEMO chatbot, using WhatsApp as the primary communication platform.
3. At the beginning of the survey, an informed consent form was presented, through which participants voluntarily agreed to take part in the study. This was followed by a set of questions aimed at collecting basic sociodemographic information. During this stage, mobile data top-ups were offered to participants who required internet access in order to complete the survey.
4. Subsequent sections focused exclusively on the collection of diet quality information using the DQQ instrument. In 2024, the survey was deployed across 14 rounds, while 7 additional rounds were conducted in 2025, with an average interval of 15 days between each round.
5. Additionally, automated reminders were sent to participants who initiated but did not complete the survey, with the aim of increasing completion rates. Consolidated monitoring results were shared with participants in December 2024 and December 2025.
