Fostering gender equity in Nature-Positive Solutions - Strategies for inclusive and sustainable transformation
The CGIAR Research Initiative on Nature Positive Solutions (NATURE+) aims to shift agri-food systems toward resilience and sustainability through nature-positive solutions. Implemented in five countries—Burkina Faso, Colombia, India, Kenya and Vietnam—this initiative focuses on addressing challenges like biodiversity loss, land degradation, and unsustainable resource management. Its five work packages are: Conserve (protecting agrobiodiversity, water, and soils), Manage (promoting sustainable management of resources), Restore (supporting community-driven land restoration), Recycle (advancing circular economy approaches), and Engage (enabling policy, stakeholder involvement and behavioral shifts). The initiative uses participatory approaches, emphasizing local knowledge and co-creation of solutions.
