Food environment assessment tool box

The following slides provide an overview of the key steps involved in food environment assessments, as well as available options for data analysis. The tools presented have been tested and applied across multiple projects conducted by members of the Food Environment and Consumer Behaviour Research Group at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.
The assessment and data analysis tools were refined within the Healthy Diet for Africa Project (HD4A).
This slide deck is intended as a concise guide to support planning and implementation by highlighting critical preparatory steps and key methodological decisions. The assessment guidelines have been developed in a format compatible with ODK and are ready for adaptation and use in other settings.

Users interested in applying these resources are encouraged to contact any of the authors for technical support, guidance on implementation, or to allow the authors to share information on further developments and adaptations of the tools.
