Development of a monitoring dashboard for the local technical agroclimatic committees in Latin America
This report presents the development and initial application of an interactive monitoring dashboard for the Local Technical Agroclimatic Committees (MTAs) in Latin America, based on standardized survey data collected from MTA participants in Colombia, Guatemala, and Honduras. The dashboard integrates information on participation, actor typologies, agro-ecological contexts, perceptions of information quality and understanding, dissemination practices, and decision-making, enabling multi-level analysis at regional, national, and MTA scales. Developed through an iterative process that included early visual prototyping and implementation using the ArcGIS platform, the dashboard supports evidence-based learning, adaptive management, and transparency in participatory climate services. The results show generally positive perceptions of agroclimatic information, localized patterns of dissemination and decision-making, and persistent structural constraints, highlighting both the value of MTAs and the importance of continued monitoring to strengthen their effectiveness and impact over time.
