Co-designing innovative inclusive business models with stakeholders of the goat and cow milk value chains in Fatick (Senegal)

The objective of this study is to co-develop innovative inclusive business models (BM) with stakeholders
of the Fatick dairy sector. The aim is to co-develop inclusive BMs with Fatick dairy farmers and or
processors (goats and cattle milk), taking into account their potential customers, particularly school
canteens and customers outside canteens. Specifically, the aim is to co-develop four BMs, including: i)
a BM for goat dairy farmers/processors geared towards school canteens; ii) a BM for goat dairy
farmers/processors for marketing channels outside school canteens; iii) a BM for cow's dairy farmers
and processors targeting school canteens; iv) and a BM for cow's dairy farmers/processors supplying
Laiterie du Berger (LDB), which recently established a large-capacity collection facility (12,000 L/day) in
Sandiara, located about 20 km from Fatick. The purpose of this study is therefore to produce scientific
evidence that will enable the development of strategies to boost and promote Fatick milk through the
implementation of inclusive business models
