Co-created food system profiles strengthen the nutrition-sensitive food systems approach in Vietnam's nutrition policy

Since 2022, the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT (the Alliance) has partnered with Vietnam’s National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) to advance the integration of a nutrition-sensitive food systems approach linking agriculture, diets, and nutrition policy, which embeds climate considerations.
Through co-developed analytical tools and participatory methods (2024–2025), the collaboration has strengthened NIN’s capacity to generate food-systems-based nutrition evidence, informing agenda-setting and laying the groundwork for future institutionalization and scaling-up across regions.
