Between project cycles in Kenya (Embu, Makueni, Nakuru) and Ethiopia (Welmera, Ejere), the CGIAR Gender Equality Initiative and partners co-designed and piloted gender-transformative socio-technical innovation bundles (GTSTIBs) to address climate shocks, food security, and gender inequality. Using comparative surveys (1531 individuals in Ethiopia and 806 in Kenya) and scaling workshops, the initiative demonstrates how integrated technology, social and technical innovations can improve resilience, food security, and women’s empowerment, informing scaling and policy pathways.
