Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT researchers, within the CGIAR Science Program on Climate Action,
developed analytical tools and contributed research related to climate governance to support partners in monitoring climate-related digital discourse about the Amazon biome. As part of the Brazil Chapter of the Brazilian government-United Nations-UNESCO Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change (GIIICC), the Alliance team analyzed nearly 40,000 messages—which had generated more than 59 million views—posted on 605 Portuguese-language Telegram channels between 2015 and 2025.
