CGIAR Climate Security - From science to policy

This video highlights CGIAR Climate Security’s impact in translating science into policy action. Since 2019, CGIAR research has helped bridge climate action and peacebuilding by informing national, regional, and humanitarian policy instruments. CGIAR contributions have shaped Zambia’s Green Growth Strategy, Kenya’s National Climate Change Action Plan III, UNHCR’s Climate Action Strategic Plan, and the African Union’s Climate Security Risk Assessment. Together, these efforts demonstrate how evidence-based climate security analysis strengthens governance, resilience, and humanitarian response. Looking ahead, CGIAR Climate Security’s 2025–2030 agenda will continue to deliver data, tools, and innovations to support a more stable and climate-resilient future.
