Building the systems to scale integrated digital climate advisory services in Kenya: Innovation Package and Scaling Readiness (IPSR) Workshop

Scaling Integrated Digital Climate Advisory Services (DCAS) requires much more than effective digital technologies. It depends on an enabling ecosystem that allows innovations to be trusted, adopted, institutionalized, and sustained over time. Recognizing this, the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, through the 1CGIAR Scaling for Impact Science Program, convened a two-day Innovation Package and Scaling Readiness (IPSR) Workshop in Nairobi to assess the readiness of Kenya's DCAS innovation package for scaling.
The workshop brought together representatives from government institutions, research organizations, meteorological agencies, development partners, private sector actors, and digital innovation practitioners. 2Using the IPSR methodology, participants collectively examined the innovation package's scaling ambition, identified the principal bottlenecks limiting successful scaling, prioritized the institutional and technical enablers required to overcome these constraints, and assessed the innovation package's readiness for broader implementation.
