Bringing niche climate science to the masses: How climate resilience platform and ACLIMATAR create motivation-aligned pathways for scientists to impact supply chains

The Climate Resilience Platform (CRP) addresses a persistent gap in agricultural research: high-quality climate science that never informs operational decisions. By creating motivation-aligned structures that enable climate and agronomic scientists to contribute to supply chain decision-making infrastructure serving millions of farmers across Africa, the Americas, and Asia, CRP bridges fragmented, small-scale research outputs and global adoption. A transition to an institutionalized validation network, informed by Human Centered Design (HCD) approaches, is now formalizing this model. In parallel, ACLIMATAR, a climate-adaptation planning tool, is evolving into an open data hub, expanding data supply for integration, validation, and adoption through partnerships like CafeClima.
