Mónica Juliana Chavarro Rodríguez

Monica is an anthropologist with a master's degree in sustainable development. She currently works as a Senior Research Associate at the Multifunctional Landscapes Team at the Alliance Bioversity International and CIAT. Her main areas of work are gender, productive systems, food systems and participatory methodologies. She has been working with the incorporation of the gender approach in regional projects, providing support to the design and validation of methodological strategies for gender; and in the characterizing communities, mapping actors and participatory work, in order to propose cutting-edge methodologies that help to reduce the gap between civil society and academic research.
Monica is also part of the gender core group, the circular economy platform and the IRB committee.
