Martin Alejandro Cepeda Aguilar
Martin Alejandro Cepeda Aguilar is a research associate at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, a position he has held since 2022. He is an agronomic engineer with a master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in soil and water research from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia.
He currently works on research and development projects focused on carbon sequestration in commercial farms in the Colombian Altillanura using tropical forages within the Bezos project, the implementation of agrivoltaic (APV) strategies in crops under the Jet Agrisol project, and cadmium mitigation alternatives in cocoa within the Climate LoCa projects at the Alliance. His responsibilities include coordinating soil and plant tissue sampling in Colombia and analyzing laboratory data results.
He has 11 years of experience in research related to soil health and plant nutrition, agroforestry systems, agroecology, and rural technical assistance for perennial crops.
