Jorge Luis Luna Meléndez

I am an agro-industrial engineer with a master's degree in agricultural sciences, passionate about post-harvest processes and operations, food quality analysis and physical-chemical studies that allow us to identify the best alternatives to extend the shelf life of food.

I have been part of the Alliance since 2013 and my work has focused on the analysis of the post-harvest quality of cassava, both in its roots, leaves, flour and starch. I have worked hard on post-harvest physiological deterioration of cassava roots, identifying and selecting materials resistant to this problem and with great agro-industrial potential.
