Reading Note 1: What are Living Labs?

This Note is the first of a series of Reading Notes that WP1 is producing to support the country teams in understanding and relating to the academic literature dealing with key concepts and approaches mobilized in the Agroecology Initiative (AE-I) and particularly in WP1.
Specifically, Reading Note 1 aims to clarify the concept of Living Labs and provide a common ground to dynamize it in the context of the AE-I. Importantly, the concept of “Living Landscapes” is not included because literature using this term was not found, except for Griffiths & Warnock (2015) and Heatherington (2012).
