Julián Chará, Centre for Research on Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems – CIPAV

Research coordinator at CIPAV with over 30 years of experience in sustainable cattle ranching, watershed protection, and climate change mitigation. He leads several projects related to sustainable cattle ranching, climate change mitigation, and silvopastoral systems in Colombia, coordinates the Global Network of Silvopastoral Systems and has participated in several projects in Mexico, Panama and Argentina.

In addition, he has published over 30 articles, book chapters or books, and participated in policy initiatives to reduce the impact of cattle farming on climate change in Colombia.
